Drive a BMW e46 328i with Alpine HU, Focal Polyglass splits, and a 12" Kicker CVR driven by a 1250rms monoblock.

For sure! Initially used the amp for 2x Focal 13"s, then 2x Kicker CVR's. Moved one Kicker to the wifes car so I am just using one CVR until my next enclosure is sorted. Perhaps a 10" bandpass.

For now the CVR is at 2 ohms so the amp is only at half its potential, prolly around 400rms at 14V, which is fine for the CVR in a sealed box.

Currently looking at the Kicker spec for an spl enclosure. I wanna get a bit more skilled in box building before trying for the bandpass option which is gonna tricky in my car.

went looking for 3/4", or 19mm board yesterday but no luck. Will check some other stores today perhaps. Need a **** router as well, but it seems like the priciest of tools sofar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

also need a good work bench and clamps. My sealed box took longer than expected just cos I couldn't keep the **** board steady //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Tell me, does the CVR crackle a bit under overexcursion? I have experienced that at times so I turned the gain down a tad to be safe.

Welcome. I too used to have CVRs. I had 12", dual 2 ohm, both subs wired parallel to my amp. .5 mono. WOO HOOO!!!!

****, did u're amp have internal cooling? Or did u manage to kill those CVR's?
