Interview at Circuit City today...

oh my bad,. read it wrong, lol. What i meant was that some people never really thought of custom works and just go out and buy prefab stuff to get on with it. Some people actually don;t wanna bother with custom stuff, dig it?

carpenteractually most retailers give employees 10% above cost...not bad if you ask me, still better than what ebayers sell it to you for
Best Buy discount is cost + 5% and doesn't take effect for like 90 days, well it was a year ago... I don't know about CC though...

why dont you guys work at dedicated car audio shops, instead of crap like best buy and circuit city. I work at an actual car audio, and doing installs is the most boring sh1t ever. If i didnt get to fiberglass, make boxes, and make other misc. objects, i definitely wouldnt work there. Plus at an actual privately owned shop, you dont get bs 20% employee discounts, you get it for what they paid for, so basically as cheap as possible.

Both local shops are not hiring, I'm friends with everyone at the one. They just plain aren't hiring.

what i'm saying is as far as i know, circuit city doesnt even make boxes. let alone do fiberglass work. wouldnt you rather be able to do some custom work that requires skill, that sit all day popping panels and crimping wires?
yes but some poeple don;t want to spend the extra money on fiberglass box's. And i am pretty sure noone would buy one considering the time it takes to properly make one and the money involved.

Some circuit cities do offer custom Box's, mine for example

Some people don't really care, a job is a job, as long as theres money involved that satisfies them IMO.

i don't know how it is on the east coast but the circuit cities around here take a LOT of pride in their installers and their tests are freakin ridiculous. One particular one that I know of, a good friend of mine could not pass the test w/o training and he's been doing amazing custom work for a year or two on his own before applying. Most of the installers i've met there are pretty dang good, it's the ones that they train for sales that ****. the most that they let them do is a head unit install or something. most of the installers also do sales too though, i dunno maybe CC's operate differently by region. most companies do..
best buy sucks
hahah exactly opposite for us...circuit city does the shittiest installs...i wanna punch them rite in their goofy *** face...

i work at cc because i get paid pretty good and i have fun doing it... accomodations are the best... and i have benefits... plus i learn a lot... we may not build custom boxes but oh well... i manage my people and install lots of alarms and mobile video work... i don't do radio installs or amp/sub installs unless i'm the only person there...

i did, but quit because Shumaker's Snowboards hired me.......this was last year. are you gonna be installing?
I just told him whatever was available. Shumakers... i knew a kid that worked there for a bit Sean Albright. Then this girl I went to high school, her ex-fiance or something works there Jon something.
