for my car (1995 toyota camry ) i have about ~2krms and not only does the box take up the whole trunk but its hard to hear with the seats up and not to mention rattles the hell out of all my metal in my car. i have the trunk dynamatted but not the rest. anyways i was wondering if anyone has done this is. i was thinking of custom fabricating my rear deck. i could move the 2 current spekars farther apart and possibly fit two 10's inbetween them mounted right to my custom rear deck with a box somehowe hanging down off the backside of the rear deck and in the trunk.

i should take some pics to give you guys a better feel of what i mean. ill do that tomoorro

but anyone have any advice?

Seems like you want SPL, so I'd rule IB out lol.

But, yes, some people have created suspended enclosures. Most people who do so actually ditch the rear deck speakers and either fill those holes, or use them as port entrances into the cabin.

You should do a 4th order bandpass and run the ports up through the 6x9 holes.

use PVC or aero ports and bam, it will be loud.

yeah i wouldnt use IB but i could maybe do a suspending box but it would touch the bottom of the truck so wouldnt nessisarily be suspending persay. and yes i am mainly going for spl but i would like to keep my speakers as just the front two do not fill my car well.

a 4th order bandpass with my current setup or 2 10's? currently i have a cascade omega 15 inch dual 2 ohm being pushed by autotek ss 1900.1d at 1 ohm. idk how i would run that in a 4th order.. i dont think i would have enough room.

Get two 15's, build the 6 cube box in your trunk, seal your trunk, get an 8" aero custom made, vent it through your rear deck, sit back and feel your hair move.

haha wouldnt that just be nice. i will save that for when i get a different car either hatchback or a small suv so i dont have to deal with the trunk bs. but i do need room in my trunk for stuff. so 8 cubes is out of the question.
