So I need a 150ft ethernet cable to run from my router to my garage to connect my xbox, Theres "patch" "network" cat5, cat6 and so on so forth, you get the point. which is the cable i need to buy? Im not sure if i need a "weather proof" one or not. it will be ran under the house and outside in the open as well but the xbox and router are indoors.

if you can find one on amazon for me and link it please. Or just tell me if it even matters what i buy.

Cat5 should be fine, anything exposed I would run in conduit. Plastic is like 1.50 for 10 feet. Using it to run speaker wire to my pool right now

I would buy shielded cable as well. You dont know what other lines you could be running it near if your going outside.

Take nate up on his offer. You can do it yourself for cheaper than that waterproof one. I haven't looked, but a week ago I found a 100ft cable for 13 bucks. Plus whatever your 1/4" - 1/2" pvc pipe for the outside part. Less than $30 all together.
