Internal amp

Never used that hu, but with my 880 you press and hold the left knob until the unit turns off, then press and hold the right knob until you get the menu, scroll through that until you find internal amp and then turn it off. Hope that helps.

You can download the user manual if you don't have one. The manual should show if there is the option present or not.

The amp won't be doing anything if there's nothing hooked to it. It can't create heat if it's not drawing power through. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It's nice to have the option if you're not using the speaker outs, but there's nothing specific to gain from turning it off.

It may not create as much heat when you're not using it but it will in fact create heat. Whether you're using it or not.
