So, I'm driving the other day with my music at a fairly loud level but nowhere near maxing out anything when I hear a thump and the music cuts off and my headunit displays "Protect."
I get home and check everything out. I reconnected everything and checked for any loose connections but found nothing. Checked all of the fuses and none were blown. Tested the amp terminals with a DMV and they were fine.
I figured the amp was fried inside then so I disconnected the sub input from my headunit (Kenwood x790) and turn the radio on. I go to check the amp just to be sure it still won't turn on only to see that it is turning on now. The power light is on and the protection light doesn't come on.
I'm lost. Somebody please help. All system information is in the sig.
