Intel Quad core Motherboard

Need input from anyone using the Q6600 on here. I have not been following up on chipsets lately so I need to know a solid board. Only minor OC planned but I would like RAID built in as well as GB-NIC.
Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

is the motherboard i have currently on my q6600. also make sure you get a g0 stepping q6600 since they run cooler and overclock better. i have mine overclocked to 4.2 ghz stable.

i have the evga 680i board with my g0 stepping q6600 runs nice and smooth, no problems so far, not overclocked and i paid less then the prices you listed, and i got my stuff in canada awhile back...so maybe search around a bit more....

I haven't had an evga board before, i did have a video card from them and it was awful, the boards better?

asus make great boards, cant really go wrong with them
I haven't had any luck with the Asus boards for about 4-5 years. They are tier-1, but the quality just isn't there anymore.

Why would you need a GB NIC? I don't see the application for personal use....
I have 11 pc's on my network at home and my server houses all data for the house. 2 tb's of movies/software/mp3 that we stream to the pc's just helps to be running gigabyte. Almost all boards come with gb anyways.

Holy shit. Haha I take it back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

never had any problems with asus, maybe it is your installs
I mean it COULD be my installs but when 95% of my installs go years without issue (at least hardware, most people F it up and its my job to fix it for some reason with software) and more than 50% of my recent ASUS installs have been bad, I'm just steering clear. Don't get me wrong, top notch Asus boards ROCK.

LOL...not even close. I just feel that a computer serves a good purpose for just about everything. So we have a tablet, and 3 media centers plugged into the tv's office has 4 pcs. Server, backup server...etc etc.... you get the point :p
