dont do a bandpass unless you know what your doing. do a ported box instead.

^ i dare say most prefab best buy jobbies are only in a bandpass for the "wow, bling" effect.

I'd recommend starting over from the very beginning.

Headunit.

Front component set.

Amplification for front set.

- do you want to be loud and heavy, or sound good and drive fast?

If you said loud, pick up a big mean mono amplifier, and a big mean sub.

If you said sound great, maybe consider a threeway from a four channel amp, and pick out a nice eight or ten inch subwoofer (weight.)

As in they gonna laugh at you is what he meant. Most of the forums i been to strictly forbid the talk of racing or modding to race.

You got the Vtech engine or what?

I have the Integra LS 2000, and i must say it rattles like shit with just one 12w6v2, so if you want SQ, you gonna have to do a whole lot of deadening, which is gonna add more wieght to your car. And i dunno what setup you gonna get, but you better get a new alternator without a doubt if you plan on adding 2000 watts to your car, 800 watts for me and my car dims at mid volumes.

You should look into Profi Kickbass, thats what i got, and they sound great. Theres not much trunk space as you could probably tell, so get creative.

are you asking if there are any aftermarket alternators that ARENT high-output?

seriously. this is the best advice you are going to get: spend at least a month or two researching, because you honestly have no idea what you are getting in to, at all.

honda-tech dosen't frown on racing, infact they have a whole section just for kill stories.

and the ls block is a great block as well, alot of people prefer it over the gsr's block for boosting
