I'm about to install my first system and was wondering what i need for the install. I have Pheniox Gold Gold Components, Older Rockford amp for them. Debating on which sub to buy (cerwin Vega V-Max) or (Kicker L5) and Newer rockford 550.2 amp for the sub. Was wandering what other things i would need for the install. Please help i first timer out here.

Wiring kit to include

Wire 4 gauge is good 1/0 is better for future upgrades.

Inline fuse holder with fuse rated for wire size

Speaker wire for wiring subs/comps

Remote wire for amp turn on

RCA's to run from H/u to amplifier(s)

Line out converter (LOC) if you don't have an aftermarket h/u

Sound deadening to deaden doors or at least around and behind the mids

Don't know what kind of vehicle so possible some baffles to fit the 6.5 comps

Wood (MDF preferably) to build enclosure/amp rack

Wood Glue for gluing enclosure

Drill with bits

Wood clamps

Some kind of sawing device - skil saw or table saw

Router with circle jig to cut hole for sub or a jig saw

Some sort of covering for enclosure possibly carpet

Can of adhesive to attach the carpet to the enclosure

Silicone sealant for inside edges of enclosure, not necessary if built correctly but it doesn't hurt.

Use that same silicone for speaker wire hole in the side of the box to seal that up after you push wire through.

I'm sure there is a couple things missing. Hope that helps, yea I was bored.

Quick question: How do you the wire remote turn on lead for multiple amps if the headunit only has one lead coming out of the back of it?

Jumper it off of one amp to the other

ok thanks for the help got any other suggestions? I figured i should gather all of the things neccessary for the install and then put them all in at the same time rather than installing one thing at a time. O and the car is a 2002 impala BTW
