installing the w200?? please help

okay so i just bought an alpine w200, got an amazing deal on it, 300 bucks. but it came without the wiring harnesses that need to be plugged into it. i know i need the power wire harness so i bought that but i also see an output for a ''6 Pin Remote Reverse Harness'' and i wanted to know if it is necessary to buy the 6 pin harness and what it does exactly.
