i want to install my subs with my stock head unit i bought the converter i installed one on a friends car a while back but forget what to do is it just one set of speakerson the converter their is 5 wires 2 whites and 2 greys and a black?

are you talking about a line out converter?

if so, you connect it to your rear speakers...both left and right

yes i am talking about a line out converter and what do i do with the black wire that is on the loc

i have done one of these...but mine was like 2 whites and 2 greys with a brown one...i only used 4 wires

One pair is right rear + & -

another pair is left rear...

the black is a HU ground...

put tape on it. Really. It's probably the ground, but I've never seen it used.

only if you have noise on your system then you would use the black ground wire. Since you using the loc for sub it wont matter

ok so i got it in and it works thanks for the help but it doesnt bump as hard as it did with my deck in my old car and i have to put the bass all the way up

there are both 4 ch & a 2 ch versions, so get the one you need. I use the 2 ch and daisy chain my sub amp via the output RCAs of the 1st amp.
