installing sounds in 03 cavalier

I am going to be installing a 800.1 phoenix gold amp and 2 cervin vegas 1200 watt subs in my sisters cavilier. It currently has a panasonic head unit in there, and 4 guage wire installed when I had my really old system installed years ago when I had the car. My question is: is the 4 guage wire ok for that amp? I don't want to burn anything up. Its for my sisters cavalier, so she don't anything huge in her car. Just a little thump.

You going to replace the stock speakers?

No. Like I said, she only wants a little thump. The speakers and amp I'm going to put in there now may be to much for already.
