thats the stuff i got from a local audio shop. cost me 20 bucks for 5 sq feet or some ish. i know its cheap, but this is my first comp/sq install. so i dont mind.. ive never deadened before so im happy with it. my question is,do i need to remove anything else from my door to layer this? here is my door stripped so far:

do i have to remove it all?

it only goes on bare frame parts, example, inside the door, around all those wire/ rods. if you want to take it to the next level, buy a couple peices of sheet metal, drill it in to cover those holes, then place sound deadenin over it. it will definatly peel off if you place it over those large holes.

thanks for the info... didnt kno whatir was, just asked for his cheapest. dont know if its 5sq feet or not i was guessing, im bad at math tho. its about 3 1/2 feet long, about 3 feet wide

yea heard good things ab out them. i didnt even install the deadening that i bought. no reason to yet in my doors, its a 6.5" comp set, midrange and tweeter. not midbass. when i add a midbass to my door ill deaden it. i have no sub yet either.. so ill wait until i can get some good quality sound deadener before i do it. thanks for the info guys

That's not even as good as Peel & Seal (no foil layer) and Peel & Seal is crap for sound deadening. I would NOT put that inside a car.
