Installing Pioneer P780MP On 06 Mustang Tonight

Ok, I do have the wire harness in the pic, but not the attachment to the right. There are not any more locations on the back of the new hu to connect this to even if I had it. Now the new hu did also come with attachment for a subwoofer output, rear output, and front output, for sometime down the road if I decide to add a amp is my logic. Now if I leave this connection out of the new hu, then the question would be, will the connection on the right side of the harness in the crutchfield url above fit in this location and run the front door subs.

I think you will need to get that piece of the harness your missing and then the rca's would go to one of your rca outs on your deck. I haven't done this yet but will probably be doing this next week.

That stock shaker 500 sucks nuts doesn't it...

Yes the 500 sucks arse. Will give the company in which I bought the radio and harness a call in the morning and see.

Thanks for all the prompt reply’s!

Oh, just found this info.

Hey, Crutchfield makes a harness for the Shaker system. You can order it online, and it will give you your subs back. its a two plug system, don't freak out when you install it. basically, the long plug in the back runs the stereo, the middle plug runs the cd changer in the shaker (crutchfield plug won't use it) and the small square plug runs the amps. The crutchfield plug has the long plug and a short plug with two RCA outs for your stereo.

Work Around:

Take a pair of rca's strip on side-->tap into the connection that I un plugged from the rear of the shaker "sub woofer connection"-->run the other side of the rca's to the front amp output on the rear of the new hu. Now with that being said, anyone know the wire config on that connection? I can get a pic if need be.

Thanks

I've read that the blue/purple is the remote turn on and the others are for the subs. Any issues with connecting the speaker ones up to rca's and going right into the new hu rca front inputs? I was also going to put a 4.7 resistor on the radios remote turn on wire to eliminate the popping sound when turned on. Can I just soldier it between the remote turn on wire?

Is Amp turn on, Remote turn on and 12 v ignition switched one in the same?

That is the correct Metra part # for the 06 Mustang, think I'm hanging this project up for a bit and ordering one.

Thanks

This one helps explain the colors. Any thoughts on the above plan or just wait till tommorow and call the company I ordered the wireharness from and have them send the missing sub connection?

The more I diy stuff to hurry up when there is a right way it always ends up biting me in the ***, no matter how simple it is. I'm also for cleanliness in the wiring.

I'd call that company and tell them to get you that other piece of the harness out ASAP, then just plug it in and go.

Think I need to cut the connector off the blue/white wire from the Pioneer harness " to system control terminal of the power amp or auto antenna relay" ,and connect them there.
