i just got my amp in the mail and i am ready to install it tomorrow and i just wanted to make sure that i wasnt going to blow anything.

my subs: 2 planet audio 12" dual 2 ohm voice coil, with the voice coils ran in series. 500 watts rms each.

my new amp: infinity 611a. mono subwoofer amp. 456 watts rms @ 4 ohms and 657 @ 2 ohms.

if i am correct (please correct me if i am not), i will be running it at 2 ohms, into both subs.

everything should work fine right??? pleae let me know if you have any recommendations before the install.

thank you in advance for your assistance.

(i posted this in another area and i think it is in the right area now).

i installed it today and something is worng. it sounds horrible and it is way quieter than it was with my 200 watt memphis amp.

what i did was rewire the voice coils from parallel to series. i put the + off the amp onto voice coil "a" and the "-" off the amp on voice coil "b" and connected the other + and "-" together.

that was how i intrepreted the diagram...

the things i do know is that it has power, the power light is on. when i turn the gain all the way up, the clipping light flashes.

i am really confused and pissed off now and dont know waht to do. any ideas would be great. thanks.
