Installing Kenwood EQ 4042A

I know I might be over thinking this situation, but right now I need help with installing Kenwood 4024a EQ. My HU is already installed, So do I have to re-install the HU and the EQ? What I mean by re-install is rewire the EQ to the HU? and if I do tell me where I start. Help me please....

You'll have three wires on that EQ - black, blue, and yellow.

Black = ground

Blue = remote turn-on (same as an amplifier)

Yellow = 12v power

Then there will be one set of RCA inputs. You'll need to run a set of RCA cables from an output on your HU to this input.

Then there are three sets of RCA outputs on the EQ. One for front, one for rear, and one for sub output w/ its own crossover and level settings. These are exactly as labeled - The front output connects via RCAs to your front speakers amp, the rear output via RCAs to the rear speakers amp (or front and rear amp inputs respectively if you're running a four channel for both) and the sub output via RCAs to your sub amp.

Hope this helps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
