Installing hot womans system plz help

So a friend of mine's mother asked me to put a system into her daughters 2002 mustang v6, so here are a few questions...

How do i get the dash off for a hu? What HU?

What subs and amp should i get her?

Can i run the power wire without drilling a hole through the firewall?

What are the factory speaker sizes?

ur all over the place, maybe u should goto the mustang forums and ask them A, C, D. There's no way of telling u what subs and amps to get because U didnt say how much u want to spend on the H/U or the speakers or anything

How do i get the dash off for a hu? What HU? When you get a dash kit for the car, more often than not there will be instructions on how to remove the panels and install the kit. What headunit she wants depends on features. You could get away with a lower line alpine or kenwood or could step up to a nicer unit for Ipod control, etc.

What subs and amp should i get her? All taste and budjet dependant. Something cheap and will get the job done, type-r. Something quality, maybe something from ID, SS, or AA?

Can i run the power wire without drilling a hole through the firewall? Yes

What are the factory speaker sizes? Look on crutchfield. Enter in the vehicle make model and year and it will let you know what fits in the stock location

Why not suggest him to go to a local dealer who has experience installing stereo equip? That way you do not damage someones new car

in my ford taurus there was a big grommet right behind each of the gas/brake pedals that can easily fit 1/0 guage wire

Reminds me of a lot of kids I went to high school with. They all talked about stereos, how many watts, amps, subs they ran but they couldn't install anything to save their lives. From his post, my first impression was that he hasn't done this many times before...but I could be wrong. My rule of thumb was if I wasn't willing to do it to my car or try something on my car first...theres no way in hell I'm doing it to someone else's....

I've done some installs but not on a $600 budget. i just wanted to get some ideas and i am pretty sure how to get the dash off. but i havent messed too much with a mustang...so i want to be safer than sorry so i was asking for a little advice so that i am sure i am getting it all taken apart right, thats all.
