Installing head unit

Ok, I have a DEH-P7400MP Pioneer CD player...I know where all the wires go except for the System Remote Control wire, and the power antenna. The power antenna is a wire that is coming from my wire harness and there isn't a place for it to hook to the piece that goes in the cd player. If someone could just help me. And I have the installation kit for my Jeep Wrangler, but the piece it says use, my CD player won't fit through it, so if anyone could help me here I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Dude, Don't sweat, just tape off the power antenna wire(drk blue)you don't have a power antenna anyway, and if your not running any amps tape off the remote wire (blue w/white stripe)also.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the wire's aren't always those colors. and DO NOT tape off the remote wire or your cd player simply won't come on. you'll need to hook that to the stock remote(maybe called accessory) wire. If you car didn't have a radio to begin with you're going to have to run a wire to some sort of switched power.

remote wire powers cd player? Not!!Accessory is the switched power(red)and that is why the remote wire is called (system remote wire)it turns on other switched components.Obviously you have not done an hu install, cuz if ya did it would be fried if ya hooked it up ur way.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

remote wires are the same thing as an accessory wire, the term is interchangeable. i've done plenty of HU installs.. most low-mid end HUs do not have a seperate remote for amps. Since this guy is obviously doing his first install, i was assuming he didn't buy anything special as far as decks go. no need to freak out man. and stop assuming that you know all the colors, b/c again..not all decks/cars have a standard color set.

I have it all figured out now...the wire I was talking about was the remote wire (for the amp). The HU is a DEH-P7400MP....Thanks for all the help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

RCO....bein as I dun give much credit to Boxterboy here I gotta agree with him. you are very wrong. Remote wire is always a remote turn on lead for the amps. and is always blue from any manufacturer
