Installing HCCA 225

Here is what I have- first gen HCCA 225, Audiocontrol 2xs, and a kicker 10" L7 2ohm DVC in a kicker ported box. I have 4ga wire, but still need to figure out a fuse size. First of all the ratings aren't true, and I want to wire the sub in parallel to run at 1 ohm. Does the crossover come before the amp? If so, which of the 4 output wires on the amp do I attach to the sub terminals. Might seem like a common sense question, but I can't figure it out. Also, tried to research the size of the fuse from the battery but I didn't know what is good for this particular application... :/

Thanks, rguy

If you're wanting to run that HCCA225 bridged then you'll need Orion's external bridging module to do so.

As I recall the 1st Gens wouldn't run in mono bridged mode otherwise.

I think it wasn't until Gen 3 that they could run bridged standalone without the external module...

that's what the Audiocontrol is for. It's one of the older models with bridging, and A LOT of people on this and other forums said that it would work as well as the Orion one. Yes or no?..
