installing extra battery importance of running ground?

I see some guys run power and ground 0g from battery #1 to battery #2 cant you just run 0g power and ground battery #2 to chassis direct?

IM sure it wont be 100% as good as running + and - 0g from batt to batt but should not make much diff right?

If you just run the ground right to the chassis it will be fine. The only cars that I've ever seen do dual runs (+ and -) were competition vehicles.

just make shure your ground is a good one and mabie even run 2 ground on the 2nd battery.

I have always grounded my spare batts to the frame myself. I don't personally think there would be a significant benefit to long runs of ground wires when every ground in the vehicle is tied to the frame in the first place.

Unless you have a unibody vehicle, just make a solid chassis ground or better yet a frame ground.
