installing double din in 04 camry

im trying to install a double din touchscreen in my 04 camry and after buying 3 different wiring harness's i still get no sound from speakers..i finally found the right plug to hook everything up, but i have the jbl factory system in it and the h/u i bought (http://www.tview.us/dvd656fmbt.htm) has both front and rear audio outputs but i get no sound from the speakers like the factory amp isnt coming on...now when i took my factory h/u out right next to the antenna wire was another small wire that plugged in right next to it and now has no where to go on the new h/u. so i was wondering could this be like a ground or something that goes to the factory amp? thanks for any help that can be provided

i believe it is a ground that just grounds to your HU somewhere with a screw, but dont quote me on it

its not the type of ground you're thinking of, i kno what you're talking about but its actually just a plug, very similiar to the antenna wire plug just about 1/2 the size...ill try and see if i can find a picture of it somewhere on the net

Which wiring harness did you buy? Are you trying to bypass your factory amplifier or do you want to retain its use? I believe there is a toyota harness that has 2 sets of rcas that plug into the back of the aftermarket radio, and that retains the factory amplifier. I know they make this type of harness for the infinity systems and the ford premium system just not 100% on the jbl. Whats the model number of the harness you have though?

not exactly sure on the model number of the harness, im at work now, so im not able to go see...the plug i got has 2 sets of rca's instead of speakers wires, and i would like to keep using the jbl system, i hooked everything up and plugged in the rca's but i dont get any music from the speakers..so thats why i was asking if the extra wire was a ground or something for the factory amp...
