Installing Double Din Head Unit. Pre-existing wires + amp wires + other unknown wires

Ok, so i just bought this car. Owner wanted his radio so he took it out. I just bought a double din and am going to attempt to hook it up tomorrow.

I am seeing some wires in the dash that I'm not familiar with. I'm familiar with the OEM plug/wires, RCAs, and antenna (and obviously usb), but the bundle of 9 wires in a tube as well as two other connectors I'm not too sure about.

From what I researched, it's simply just speaker wire and it's probably coming from the amp, but my question is WHY? I thought the RCA was all that was needed for signal and then the speaker wire from the amp went to the speakers. Any ideas if and how I need to hook these wires up?

To save time some installers will run the output from the amp through the radio harness, that way they don't have to run new speaker wires from the amp through the interior, doors, etc...

Ok so I got

Everything hooked up. Amp isn't coming on. Power and ground are fine. I tested using a multimeter. However there's no power at the remote wire with the ignition on Acc. It's hooked up... Why am I not getting anything?

Any idea what those two unknown cables are?
