Installing Crossover

I am very new to this, I tried to use the search function to help find what I need, since I am sure it has been asked before. However I just get over welmed by information I don't know about.

I just ordered a pair of infinity kappa 6x8's for the rear door of my 98 Mystique. They came with a cross over and a wire harness. The crossover has the 4 wires that connect to the speaker on one side and a red and black wire on the other side. I am guessing that that will connect to the wireharness that connects to my car. However it has no connector to go onto the wire harness. I am sorry for the lack of information I have as it makes asking the question unclear. If anyone can decipher this and help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.

How do I do that? The Black and red I figured went to the harnass, but they have no connecters like the harnass does.

Your going to have to either cut the factory plug off or splice into the wires behind the plug. Tell me the colors of the two wires and I'll tell you which one goes to what.

Like I said, this is my first time messing with this stuff.... When my spare keys get dropped off, I will be sure to let you guys know!

Just to recap though.

I ordered 2 pairs of 6x8 speakers for my car. Infinity references for the front and kappa's for the back. I ordered through crutchfield and they sent me 2 wire harnesses for it all. So I am guessing that the 2 wire harnesses are to be used in the front (they did not come with a cross over), and the kappa's in back should be hooked up using the crossover to connect my speakers to the power. I will either have to splice or solder to connect to the wire that was giving my factory speakers power. I think I am beginning to understand a little more and thank everyone for their help.

why dont you read the directions?

they come with the speakers.

that always helps me when im working with a new product... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Crutchfield said that the kapps would not fit in the front. I don't know what a hu is.

Hu = head unit = cd player? If so yes. In a few weeks I will be getting a sub and an amp.

you ordered from crutchfield and didnt get any instructions? strange

crutchfield sends tons of installation papers with everything they sell i bought some polk coax's and they sent me all the instructions including how to bypass the amplifier and how to take the panels off. you can just call up crutchfield dont they have lifetime tech support? they can just email you the instructions.
