Installing comps questions

2 questions.

1. Is 16g wire sufficient for the speakers?

2. I was thinking since my tweeter and mid will be in the door that it made the most sense to place the crossover in the door cubby and run a single set of wires to the amp (as opposed to running 2 sets from door to rear of car and have the crossovers by the amp). Thoughts on this? Also thoughts on having it in the door? How do most people mount in the cubby without rattling?\

i have mine in the doors, no problems.

my crossovers are mounted under the dash with velcro....i just used velcro extreme to attach them to an a/c duct. my glove box flips out and i can get to them with no tools if need be

16 will be fine and you can mount in the doors with no problems

I wouldnt mount the crossovers in the doors.

The screw connectors tend to corrode from the moisture.

Ok great. My other issue is my tweeter placement. After reading a review of the PG RSDs the reviewer had them at the top of the door near the side mirror and said it was overbearing, so instead placed in the kick panel. Is this typical for it to sound better next to the mid?

Id have 5to cut a hole in my panel so trying to figure out before screwing up the panel and I cant go back
