ok just trying to install my sony radio in my 05 chevy silverado 1500 truck and i connected the ground and positive which is the orange wire and tried to see if it works and it wont turn on but it will take cds for some reason ?

ps dont have the speaker wires connected yet wanted to see if it works yet

orange is the illum the red an yellow are your power wires.

well that would have helped but my trucks wires are all speaker execpt for black and orange and it has a thiner orange one two

hmm thats wierd.. get your wiring diagram out.. black is always ground.. but orange is not power..

the harness does not provide a 12v switched you need to run your own from say the wiper fuse or buy the harness with chime module

so just connect a wire to the actual fuse for the windsheild wipers and it will work will it **** up any computer shit ?

If you just run a wire to the fusebox and dont buy the chime module. You will not have any waring buzzers for lights or seatbelt etc.
