Installing an alarm myself?

I'm considering installing an alarm myself. I would say that I'm patient and good with wirering/electronics. The problem is that my car is 24 years old and I'm not sure how compatible that would be with today's alarms. Think it's possible?

Can anyone give me links to some good tutorials on installing alarms?

If anything, the older car will be simpler. Compatibility is not a problem; it's still 12 volts. Compared to newer cars, there will at least be a lot more room to mount everything.

lol, I guess thats what I'll have to do. BTW that's one hot b1tch in your aviator, swaptrex //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Depends on what alarm you are going with. If you are going with a mid- to high-level DEI, I'd honestly just let your local dealer install it (or BB/CC as the case may be) to retain the lifetime warranty.

i have a full, unused alarm package with power locks control and all that, i got a compustar in my camaro from the guy i bought it from so i can sell it to ya for 50 bucks plus shipping if ya want- i dont have a use for it- if yur interested send me an email ksb20@uakron.edu and i can get some pics and more info
