installing 8's in the doors

say i wanted to install a kicker 8inch l5 in the door, im gonna use probably 1.5 inch mdf spacers but what would i use to support the magnet in the door panel, and what wiring option would get the best response on like 225 per sub, their dual 4 ohm

those subs arent made to be infinite baffle and your doors will rattle like a mother

im not sure what infiniet baffel means assumeing free air? but im going to deaden both layers of the door and then work on blocking off the inside at a certain section where the door itself will act as a box. but it will be ported so theres room for the window to roll down. this is still all in the plans, 260 shipped for the l5's and mdf rings.

Free air is no enclosure

infinite baffle means there is a baffle where the speaker sits and the rear wave is seperate from the front.

Its still going to sound like crap though. The door will leak no matter what.

You can port it but good luck finding the proper tuning

logical yes but anything logical is too easy.

i got some ssmb8 kicker mid drivers, but i want to try something different if i cut it and dont like the way it sounds i can always make kicks or soemthing its not like its gonna be a waste all around its just a project for testing it all. i dont even really drive the car i just **** around with everything. someone had 10 mtx subs in the door every one was on his nuts i say kicker l5 and people say it will sound like sh!tttt

well ill have 2 15" l7's in the trunk a mid bass driver up towards the top of the door, the l5's in the bottom. and some mid bass in the back doors, with componets in the dash, the stock rear deck 6x9's were removed and the deck was ported so more bass could get into the car.

then why do people constantly change systems, because everyone wants more, when gm produced my car i guarntee none of them thought, oh yeah somoenes gonna put some 8 inchs subs in these doors, you always gotta push the limits or we'd all think audiobling and sony "expolodes" are the best subs out there ....alls im trying to do is reinvent the wow factor and im still gonna make it sound good im sure the first idea wont work but ill get it after messing with it a little bit.
