Installing 2 amps

I've never installed 2 amps. Does the head unit cables hook up to the 1st amp then you bridge the 1st amp to the 2nd amp? Couldn't find any tutorials.

Or I guess my HU (Alpine) might have two sets of outputs. The manual doesn't make that clear. It doesn't show the back of the HU.

The audio signal from the amp->2 amps. How is that done? Any tutorials you know of?

Pretty sure I have 2 sets of preouts for front and rear. I just checked a few websites for my HU. Is that the case for most HUs?

There are a few ways to do it. You can run two sets of rca cables from the head unit if it has front and rear preouts. If you plan on using the fader on your head unit to fade between the amps, this is the way to go.

If you only have one set of preouts, you can run a single set and use a a pair of y-splitter cables to split into two sets of rca's for the amps. Avoid splitting the signal cable more than one time.

Many amps have a a set of built in rca outputs that will pass the signal going into the amp to a second amp.
