Installers out there, please help

I had a fiberglass enclosure built at a shop, into the spare tire well, and...... I noticed that the box was leaking air, I could hear it. I confirmed it today when I held a light to the parts of the box I could get to and saw light on the outside, from the inside throgh cracks where the baffle connects to the box.

My other observation, and this where I want installers opinions, is that the guy who built my box used staples to attach the baffle to the box. Is this standard for you guys to do?

I can understand using them in hard to reach areas, but I thought that screws were a must, ESPEACIALLY IF THERE IS NO GLUE.

Also, I noticed that the side of my box that is not anything but fiberglass flexes. Is it normal to just use fiberglass where there is nothing behind it? The other 3 sides of my box have steel behind it.

If there are areas with just fiberglass there should be enough layers of the stuff to prevent flexing. Screws are standard. Staples are for carpeting.

Well, this guy used stapels with an air gun to attach the baffle to the box. And he used no glue, as like I said, I could see light through the cracks. I reinforced the baffle with some screws, and sprayed the whole inside of the box with 2 cans of truck bed liner to seal the cracks. I also stuck a sheet of dynamat on the fiberglass only side.

If I can see light throught the fiberglass, does that mean there is not enought fiberglass?

Kind of figured that, I don't know why I needed someone to tell me that. It sucks, there is no goood shop in town that really cares about installing your setup unless you are spending thousands.
