installation without aftermarket HU...

so im going to get 2 12"s, a amp, 6.5 fron speakers, and all the wiring and stuff. i was just wonder how would i wire up the amp and subs to run off my stock headunit. i was told that the amp im getting has a built in hi/lo converter, but i dont know how to wire it up at all. heres what im going to get and what car i have...

Car : 2002 Dodge Neon with OEM FM/CD radio

Subs : 2 Earthquake TremorXR-12

Amp : Earthquake PHD2000W mono block amp

door Speakers : Earthquake FS6.5 speakers

and all the wiring for the amp, power, and etc.

someone please help me, i couldnt find anything usin the search button, i just want to use the stock headunit temporarilly for now. please show me the way to a how-to or a guide, or anything else helpful. Thank you all.

You can wire it to your rear speakers if you want to.

how exactly would i do that? i dont really understand this, i know how i would wire it up to a aftermarket Hu.

tap off your rear speakers and run it threw a line level converter then to your amp. or if your amp already has one built in, you can connect it directly to your amps high level input.

so im basicly taking out the wires to my stock 6x9s and plug them into my amp? is that all, and just wire it all up normally?

you don't have to, get some wire tap connectors and they splice into the wires running to your speakers. you'll need some extra speaker wire to run to your high level input harness on your amps. both my amps have this feature, and as of right now i'm still using the facory HU

What are the ohms rating of your subs ? Single fo dual voice coil ? What is the reading on your total output of your amp to your subs ? How do you want to wire your subs (1 ohm, 2 ohm, 4 ohm, etc.)
