yeah my name is stupid
I have my 0/1 guage from the trunk to a fuse holder right by the battery with a 250 amp fuse. How do I hook the wire from the other side of the fuse holder to the battery? Can I just put a ring terminal on and bolt it on there somehow?

I didnt know you needed remote wire for the h/u to tell the amps when to turn on and off. I used an extension cord with the ends cut off for this task, there are 3 small wires inside (irrelevent). Where do I hook these to the h/u?

How bad is it to mount an amp directly on the sub box?

I want to put bolts in my box instead of terminal cups. I have ring terminals and all that stuff but would my sub be seeing a 1 ohm load if each positive and negative from my sundown went directly to a positive or negative on the sub?

can you explain to my why that is required?

You asked:

Ok I figured out everything except how do I hook the wire to my battery? I know its a noobish question...but I am a noob and I do know to search.
...and I answered:

It is a good way to attach the wire to your battery.

Nope. If you already have some ring terminals bolted onto the battery than you could just add another one in there. Does the battery have top posts or the screw on side posts?

Just get a $0.50 ring terminal from Wlly-World, or Auto-Zone, clamp it on to the 0/1 wire you have, make sute it is tight, wrap the clamped part in electrical tape, and connect it to the terminal battery clamps like all the stock wiring.

You do not need to buy any of the aftermarket battery clamps like they have been showing you. They are all mostly for show and are not required. You will only need them if you feel the wires are getting out of hand, and you want them to be a little more "prettier".

Like I said.

...Or just try to fit a ring terminal in between the stock wire and the battery.
