i installed a in dash screen but i can't put in in all the way because of the way my cougar is. is there a way i can get a cover to go over the rest of the metal?

We are going to need some more details. Can you take a pic?

It sounds like there is something behind the unit that is not letting it go all the way back. If that is the case, make an extention sleeve to help with the clearnce. A pic would still be helpfull.
