I agree as well with what has been said. JL is a great product but overpriced and for the same price, im sure you can fin some diff brands such as Fi, RE etc. Installation is where you should be saving your money. If you cannot install it yourself im sure someone here is in your area and will be willing to help you out in that department for maybe as little as a case of beer. I would help you out if I was in your area. You should have did a little more research and asked a few more questions before you decided. With what you have though it will still sound ok and im sure you will be happy with it just as long as your fine with spending the money you just did. A little much but oh well---good luck with the system!

I haven't bought anything yet -- this is what's been priced out at the two places I've spoken with. One place does mostly JL & Memphis Audio, the other Alpine, JL, and Rockford.

Even though I'm in a university community (Bloomington, IN), there are very limited options for installations that I know of. But I'm game on finding better options.

So, if your priorities were (1) sound quality and (2) iPod & Sirius integration what would you be buying? And for me the bass provided by the 12w3 seems to be enough for my tastes.

I ask because when it comes to car audio I am functionally illiterate. I've been researching but get really lost on the technical sides and finding a system that "works" well. And the installation -- man, not my forte'.

So any recommendations?
