Hello, I just have a few questions about my installation of my amp and subs. I have a Rockford p6001bd amp and two Kicker CVR 122's. For my amp I just needed to know if I connected the power wire to a fuse in my passenger compartment fuse panel if it would have enough power. The fuse has an ampere rating of 30 and if I am correct my amp which is 600 watts with a resistance of 2 ohms has a current of 17 amps. Would this be correct or should I use a different power source for my amp?

My second question is about setting up my amp and subs. The frequency response range on my subs is 25-500 Hz. I read a few other threads and saw some stuff about setting your frequency range on your amp to around 80 and not to go below that? What would be the best frequency response range to set the amp at?

I have no idea on the amp part, but personally I would go with a 80a fuse that comes with a wiring kit personally, I dunno if it'd even work on your fuse panel...but just incase you upgrade etc...

DO NOT hook up your amp power wire to the internal fuse box. You MUST run the power wire directly to the battery. I'm not sure where you got the 17 amp number, but an amplifier delivering 600 watts must draw at least 41 amps of current even in a best-case scenario, with 14.4 volts from the electrical system and a 100% efficient amp. The very best you could hope for would be a blown fuse.

As far as your second question: just because your subs can reproduce frequencies up to 500 hz doesn't mean you want them to. Your system will sound best if the subwoofer stops playing frequencies about the point where the front/rear speakers start; for most car systems that's about 80hz.
