Installation Accessory Question

I am in the process of ordering the new Pioneer AVH2400DVD. It comes with a free dash kit and an antenna adaptor. However, a dialog box from Crutchfield shows up and claims that I need a $65 module that will allow me to install the double din in my 2007 Chrysler Sebring. In my past experiences installing head units in my other car all I needed was a simple $8 wiring harness to get the job done. What I am wondering is, does anyone know if I really need this module I'm not really willing to pay for instead of a normal wiring harness, or is Crutchfield just trying to make a quick $65 off me?

link to the module

you will need it i order to turn the radio on and off with the key. the factory harness doesnt have a switched ignition it has two wires that send pulse signal to turn the radio on. the module reads the pulses and activate a relay to tun the radio on. without that module the radio wont have a switched 12v. you maybe able to bypass it but since you have to ask this i dont recommend u try

Thanks for the reply, I will probably end up getting the module then. My dad is pretty good with electrical jobs, is there a way you could explain to me on how to bypass it because I might try it with him depending on what is required?
