It has been a while since posting a thread. Been busy
Now i'm going to get down to business with the car audio junk.
1. Subs: I put a couple memphis PR 12s in a 4cu.ft. box tuned 33~34 and they hit so hard on any rap song but once I put on a rock song, the bass sound coming from them sounds like my 6.5 stock speakers bass. What's up with that? and during rock songs, most of the time i'm dealing with annoying sounds every time a bass guitar would hit a high noise.
2. Speakers I'm looking to replace all my stock speakers because I blew out my 4x6s and everytime I have the bass turned up and volume high, the speakers get muddy and distort. So i'm looking to spend roughly around $150 for a pair of 4x6s, 6.5s, and 6x9s. I believe in going with the Pioneer TS-A speakers, they any good?
3. I have 8 gauge amp kit and want to run more power down the road. So I was thinking of upgrading this while i'm at everything else too. I don't want to spend too much for either 2 or 4 gauge amp kit. So what do you guys recommend?
4. Back to subs. Now as some of you remember, I had a JL Audio 15W0 and even though it was low power and wasn't that loud, it boomed the rock and rap bass and had more SQ than the PRs. I was thinking of going back to 1 sub, 1 15". Like the RE audio SE or something along the lines of that, but I would like to get a little louder than the PRs.
5. I was at work one night and I asked what this guy had in his trunk and he had a couple RF P3s 12s and I told him that I had the PRs and he gave me a memphis cross-over. but he said that he thinks it's broken. I've never dealt with cross-overs before. So what would be the best way in testing this out?
I know that was a lot to say/ask about. But I haven't been on here in forever and I had a lot of things going on. but if you could read just 1 and give me input, I would appriciate it so much. Thanks,
