Infinity reference 6830 component speakers....opinions???

Was thinking about getting these speakers for my front door.

You should get the infinity kappa 680.9 cs. Im running these components up front with custom fiberglass tweeter pods and they scream!!! From what I heard from a buddy is that this is infinity's higher end comps. Here's a link.

Argh.. why do all the noobs end up buying Infinity speakers? Is there something special about Infinity name? As far as big brands go, comparably priced Alpine and Polks have almost always been better. I am really enjoying my new Infinity Kappa subwoofer but their speakers have always had a reputation of having a bright tweeter that "overplays" the mid. The only thing that Infinity has on other brands is that they have 6x8/5x7 components while with other brands you have to use 6-1/2 woofers with an adapter (often provided for free).

You can get alot better speakers for the money than infinity, alpine,polk,kenwood you name it. Your paying for the name with those big box brands.
