what do you think the rms truely is for this amp. i am going to power one or two 12 inch type r alpines .

it should be plenty to power 2 type r's

i think the rms is pretty close to those ratings

prob around 800 at 4 ohms and around 1200 at 2 ohms

they dont tell you the volts thats rated at, so if its at 14v then it would be quite a bit less then what they say since an average car only puts about 12v-12.5

anybody correct me if im wrong

most cars run at around 12.5-14 without electrical upgrades, just depends on how new your car is and how nice the stock elec is. That amp does I think 1300+ on 14.4 volts. not positive but I think thats what it is.
