I am about to build a box for my kappa perfect 12.1. The owners manual recomends a 1.0 box with all sides lined with 1inch thick poly-fill. Does anyone know about how big i would need to make my box in order to acheive this affect without the use of polly-fill

Polyfill accounts for ~ 25% of enclosure size.

Sooo... Multiply the box size that they recommend with polyfill by 1 1/3 and you'll have the approximate size of the enclosure w/o polyfill.

I could but if i am going to make a box i figure just make it bigger so i dont have to worry about the whole poly-fill thing

Alright ive been looking at my truck and i think i have an idea. If anyone has tried this please let me know. This will be similar to mounting the sub in a custom box in the center seat like some people do in reg. cab truck but i want to have it behind the seats and angled more up than most truck boxes. I am going to build the box right behind the center console which has a gap between the bottom of the console and the seat. Hopefully the sound waves will go throught this gap and hit off the window resulting in a great sound. Does any one have any objections or reason why this would not work.
