Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1

I ran that sub for the last two years or so with 600watts rms in a sealed box. I loved how it sounded, until the tinsel ripped out of the cone. I pushed it back in and superglued it.. It lives! It was a last ditch effort since I already had a Skar VVX 10 on order.

I own 2 NIB, and they're rated at 350w RMS, peak 1400w (but I wouldnt).

From what I read before buying them a few years back they like clean power below 600w (in a sealed box, ported is a lot lower wattage), but they can be damaged easily at watts above that.

.

I had 2 10's in a small ported box for a couple years. I gave them 400 a pc. and they took it like champs. Still one of my favorite subs. Wish I wouldn't have sold them....

I have a perfect 12.1 and I absolutely love this sub but she is on her last mile. I fed this thing way over rated power ( double rms easy) for months and it handled it just fine until recently. Cracked about 1/3 of the triple joint. I glued it back together but I know she doesn't have long. Spider is a bit brittle as well but what else would you expect from a ten year old sub. I hope I can find somebody to rebuild it for me but its gonna be tough with the 2 inch voice coil.

I have it now..lol...It will more than likely blow that sub at min level
My original plan was two 10.1's in stereo on my USA2300 (300w x 2 @4ohms), but that was going in an SUV, now I have an Eclipse Spyder, and no room for two subs.

Theres no way to drop that amp down from 900w mono and use it on one 10.1 without blowing it.

I do have a working 2150, and one that need the rca joint soldered back, and one that is blown for sure by a member on hereView attachment 26534350View attachment 26534351 and at one time had a nice collection of them, that I surely do miss..great amps man
