infinity kappa 12's

i am currently running 4 infinity reference 12's sealed 1cu.ft per sum in my 96 eclipse.they are being powered by a hifonics brutus 1500d.

i was thinking about upgrading to the infinity kappas.

will i see a good difference in spl/sq with the kappas?

it was just a thought.this is the 1st time i've ran infinity and i must say that for $50 a piece for the references,they sound awesome.

thanks for any input guys.

also if you know of a sub that will work well in 1cu.ft sealed and won't cost me an arm and a leg.

Similiar thread on here right now...PERSONALLY I think the Infinity Kappa Perfects are a BIG step up from everything I have read and heard...The Perfects are the flagship for Infinity's subs..I have not even heard many reviews on the References

Go with the perfects. I have the kappa 12.1 with a lightning audio storm digital 600.1 in a 1.25cu sealed box and nothing but love.

What's your price range? I used to own a pair of Perfects and I really disliked them. The SQ wasn't all that spectacular, they didn't get very loud, and they are very fragile drivers.

don't have a shitload of money cuz i'm building the racing engine up for my car..

i'll prob end up and sell my references and throw some more cash in to get the perfects!!!

only reason i bought the references was becuz they were on sale at crutchfield buy 1 for $99.95 and get 1 free.

i was runnin a dd 9515 and concept 2400a in my jeep but sold it due to the lack of space in my eclipse!!

I ran 4 kappa perfect 12's off of 2 jbl bp1200's and it was amazing. Perfects are a good all around sub for the price tag. They do well in a small box and do not need a ton of power to sound good. They are a big step from the reference line.

If you buy the perfects, don't look to over push them. They are rated at 350rms and I would keep it around that. For people to say they are fragile and no SQ, then their install sucked or the overpowered them with about 1200 to each sub. You will not go wrong with Infinity Kappa Perfects.
