Infinity Bass Link

After reading through many posts I draw the conclusion that the Bazooka Bass tube is pure crap. What about the Infinity Bass Link. I am not looking for heart stomping bass but rather just want to tighten up the sound. I am planning on buying component Infinity References for the front powered by a 60w to 75w 2 channel amp. I am keeping the OEM rear speakers simply for rear fill. I just thought that the Bass Link would be sufficient for a little extra bass. BTW my vehicle is a Santa Fe. Thanks

It's "sufficient" if you're looking for a little subbass support - nothing more, though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How much of a budget are you on?

Basslinks ****...........

You can build a basslink killer for cheap - $250 or so

IE: from IkeSound

$139.00 Alpine MRP-M350

$ 63.00 Alpine SWS-1041D (4ohm + 4ohm)

$ 23.00 Raptor RAP101 1.2cu foot enclosure

225.00

all can be bought from internet companys **** as Etronics,Ikesound,Millionbuy,ebay etc

Thanks for the great advice. I do see the logic in going with an entry level sub vs. the Bass Link. My budget is around $600 - $700. I am allocating $200 for front components (6 1/2), the remainder for a 4 ch amp and the entry sub. Correct me if I'm wrong but I was looking to hook the front speakers up to two channels of the amp and bridge the remaining two channels for the sub. My rear OEM will be used as rear fill powered by the HU. The 4 ch amp that I had in mind would be the Kicker 350.4, 60 watts RMS. Any other advice is very much appreciated

The basslink is worse then entry level in my opinion.

The driver is not a reference 10" (as i thoguht it owudl have been) it looks kinda neat but I am sure you coudl just add a reference 10" instead of the alpine sub (that excelerator mentioned) if you wanted everything to match.

I had a clear one and mind you they are super EASY to sell and they look kinda neat but I would rather have a reference 10" in a sealed box with a 200watt rms amp pushing it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would get two seperate amps, one for sub and one for mids and highs but that is me, the 4 channel will work fine they are usually more expensive dollar per watt though.

I had a Basslink for about a year, and I just upgraded to an RE SE12. I was able to get the basslink for about $200 online and it was brand new with a warranty. I thought it was nice for a while, it sounded pretty good behind the front seats in my extended cab truck, but I eventually wanted more bass.

I'm pretty sure you can still go to a Circuit City and listen to a basslink if they have one on display, thats what I did.
