infinity 1230w vs 1240w

Anyone own or hear both of these? The 1230w's are the pearl cone, and the 1240w are the newer gray cone. I like the looks of the pearl a lot better, and i have owned three of them with good results. I was just wondering if the new ones are that much different. I see both on ebay all of the time for super cheap, so i was just wondering if there is a sonic difference.

i have heard both, and would say that the only difference in sound would be at higher volumes. The 1240-42's are built a little better to handle a bit more power.

I wouldn't have purchased four of them if i didn't think highly of them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Two of these off of 600 or so are impressive... = to my sx 15" in output as far as to your ear
