In trouble with the law...

Alright just to get things straight so no one thinks Im a crook or a thieve in any way. We all have made stupid decisions in our life, and I made some a few months back I really regret. I have no intentions to ever steal anything again, but I did and have to pay the price. I have court coming up. I have several charges up against me for stupid stuff I did before I matured which include, theft of property, atempt of burguarly of building, theft of property, and street racing. The prosicuting attourny called today explaining things, and tells me I'm most likely going to be on strict probation and house arrest. Is there anyway I can get this dropped a little bit. I've been on probation since I got out of jail, and have all good reports. I can handle the probation part, but having a new girlfriend I cant take this house arrest. What should I do to pleague for a lower sentence.

What could I do to help the prosicuting attourny and judge realize that I've changed. I now have a girlfriend, plan on going to summer school, to get more credits for college, and want to straighten up. Having a wealthy family, brand new vehicle, and a great life there's no reason I should have done any of this stuff, it was all just a stupid part of life that I came over.

well. I'd say plead no contest. but if you don't have a good lawyer than you might be screwed. also if you've been in trouble before they always try to fu ck you over.

well, first off. don't mention your girlfriend to the judge. it may not help. but try to apologize. explain to the judge how you have changed and matured. you will stillbe in trouble for something, but it may reduce it a little

I've never actually been before the judge, it's all just coming on me at one time. I have a very expensive lawyer. What is this no contest? My lawyer told me he could probaly have the street racing dropped.

Every criminal "changes," it is just the chumps excuse for trying to get away with what they did.

You KNEW it was wrong before you did it.

You KNEW it was wrong when you did it.

You Knew it was wrong after you did it.

But you STILL did it.

Serve your time and get over it.

you should consider yourself lucky if all you get is house arrest w/ probation, especially just getting out of jail. and all this stuff was done while on probation? man, you must be stupid.

I know people change...but whether or not you've changed for better, you committed the crimes and now you have to just be ready for whatever penalty they hand down. At the very least, you are gonna be on probation and have to pay some fines.

Have you ever been in trouble with the law before?

well if he can then that's good. I've been to the judge a couple times, but it was for the same thing. the way you plead is guilty, not guilty, or no contest. ask your lawyer before you do whichever and what he thinks you should do. I plead no contest in my case because there's no way to get around what I had
