in terms of SPL...SX 12" or mtx 9500 10"

have never heard an SX but my SE's got really loud for me. for now going with a single driver setup and in terms of straight SPL what can get louder..am powering with an orion 1200D which i will hopefully pick up soon..maybe tantrum 1200.1 but anyways the mtx has a comparison to the w7 on its site and beats it in pretty much everything and ive heard 10 and 12 w7s and they get plenty loud for me. what do you guys think..the 12 SX or 10 9500...the 9500 is goin used right now on the site for 200 plus shipping so price wise id say almost equal if i pick up used..

SX should have more spl than a 9500, since the 9500 is a 10 the 12 should alredy have that beat for displacement, and a 9500 is more of an sql sub, the SX is more of a spl sub so my choice is SX

uhh SX is more of a SQL or in my case it is. 9500 is nice if u can get the 12 or 15 that would rock out.

Yea 12 vs 10 just is not fair. now if you were to say 12 95 vs 12 sx, then the 9500 would get louder off the tantrum.

ehh yea i was thinkin the 12 but havent tried out a 10 before...would there be a largely noticeable difference between the mtx 10 and 12?

Yea you would notice a difference. The 10s would be a bit more punchy, and fast, and the 12s will hit lower, and get louder. From past experiences with listening to them both.

Yes it seems to run just fine all day long with 1500 watts. I wouldnt run it with anything less than 1200.
