So that I don't get evicted from my house before I'm 18. Holy mother of God is the only thing I can say in respect to these subs. Two Mach 5 Audio MAW-12. Don't even think about saying that there is a better value speaker on the market. IN my room thus far, I've had these, an SE 15, an SX 15, a DD 9515d, two RE 10s, a punch P3 15, L715, 4 pyramid hyper pro 10s (ridiculous for the 20 bucks i got 'em for, but sounded like balls), and quite easily, the mach 5s are the loudest by far. I'm feeding them 1400 watts, and the amp is getting hot and the subs aren't showing any signs of weakness. The first time I hooked them up, I was all ready to say wow, these blow. They were buzzy, boomy and not loud enough. Then I thought about what I was doing, and took the subs out. Sure enough, wired to 16 ohms. Hooked them back up to 4 ohms S-P wiring, and well...my dad hasn't come home yet so I still have some more time to live //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif And the best part about it? The build quality is nothing short of spectacular. Proper connections on the tinsels, basket is extremely strong, surround COULD be a lil stiffer to up the Cms a bit, and to offer a lil higher power handling, but it's great as I've been saying. Cannot be beat for the price, frankly. Oh, and the boxes that mine came in were marked as dual 2 ohm, don't worry. They don't make a D2 yet, they're D4s.
Also, if you guys want the design for the box, I'll be glad to post this one up. It works well with such a large amount of speakers that I don't feel bad posting it. 4.5 cubes tuned to 33hz.
