In-dash rotary EQ or Line Driver?

Which would be the best route to go..

Alpine 9886 has like 4volt preouts if i remember correctly Main goal would be to boost that up for my AQ2200d.

there are 7 band EQ's out there that have built in line drivers. I think thats the best route. check out clarion and earthquake EQ's
