In Dash DVD , Clarion vs. Eclipse

Which ever one I get will have the sub preout boosted by an audiocontrol overdrive line driv....Was trying to decide between the too I honestly like the looks of both of them but I love eclipse sound quality, yet again this is my first screen so I dont know what to expect.

I am also open to other option but need to decide ASAP my trigger finger is getting itchy, price range 500-750 but can go $100 higher if its worth it

The only concern I have about the eclipse is the lower resolution but I am very partial to eclipse...how much of a real world difference will the resolution differennce make?

soundwise, the eclipse is a much better unit. i also think everything on it operates better as well.

junk. don't bother. My friends unit crapped out in a matter of months.

as far as monitor quality, my vote goes to kenwood. Nice 7" screen.

id say get the Clarion. Honestly the Sq beween the 2 units does not make the Eclipse worth as much more as they seem to go for. IPOD functionality on the Clarion is good, and all the tuning features are really easy to work with on a clarion.

Eclipse makes a quality unit , but i can never seem to find anything on an eclipse unit that will merit me spending the 400-800 dollars extra for it

I can get the eclipse for $599 as opposed to around 65 for the clarion so Im actually getting the eclipse for cheaper and I have not been fond of clarions quality, and im not really worried about Ipodabilit (lol new word)

based off what you just posted before, no opinion is going to make you pick a clarion over that eclipse unit. Clarion doesnt have the quality you want period, so i just dont even really see a point in waiting for more. Order what you obviously have already decided on.

Textured plastic just looks like crap to me ( the eclipse unit) a big ol open button...no thanks.
