that could be it. i refuse to update it. i would just delete it, but my 5 year old knows how to play her movies on it without help. many freeware programs work better than anything wmp ever did. years ago i used to rip with it until i learned how shitty it was.

i still rip cd's from friends, so i sometimes need some kind of software that rips. i have nero and roxio installed. which coincidentally, anyone who ever installs both should avoid installing one or the others drag to disc options. makes a real mess on alot of computers.

eh wmp blows. I use winamp for music and vids, nero for ripping and burning, tunebite for ripping drm off, and napster for downloading. So technically i cant get in trouble as im downloading legally. Try out VLC for videos, im 99% positive it supports more formats than winamp.

yea ive been researching this shit for hours and theirs only one solution. The WMA files are protected by micro$oft and they constantly have to keep updating thieir software to keep the protectiong for beeing ripped off by computer nerds. Theirs this program called FU4Wver13 that rips the protection rights off anything, but its illegal and hard to find the download. Micro$oft is currently filing a case againt the guy who made the program, and their currently updating their software so they can stop this program, so if you can find the app right now, you better DL all the music you can and use this program before its too late.
