The image dynamics idmax sub is it a good sub? Very unfamiliar with that brand.

Yes, A very nice SQ sub. Dayton Audio HO series is another really nice sub

Image dynamics , stereo integrity, audiofrog, Dayton, audiomobile, JL, focal, hertz all make excellent sq subs.

The sql is pretty well known as the king of soud quality loud as far as available options currently. But they are power hungry and fairly large

Yeah the ID Max need power. The IDQ's not so much

Well I was referencing the stereo integrity sql. The idmax isn't exactly power hungry the morel Ultimo is much more power hungry

Really? I wouldn't expect the Morel to be power hungry. But I've never been able to afford them....lol

And the ID Max are power hungry. A friend of mine had a single ID Max 12 on 1000 watts and it needed way more. I think the ID Max could handle 1500-2000 watts

It says on the site 1 15 idmax is 600rms 1200 watts max that's not to bad

Actually that would turn me off of that company if they lie about the specs. I figured a nice 1000 watt rms amp would do it and then to find out it won't work as well. Glad I posted this here. Ty

Don't get me wrong. For SQ anywhere from 600 watts and up will work. But they can handle way more.

@loke7017 if you are buying new, there are a lot of choices in that price range ($5-600 a sub?)

I got mine on 3k and they laugh at me going full tilt
